Tires are the most expensive consumable on your vehicle, and balancing and rotation are what make them last. We balance wheels on a computerized balancer and rotate on the correct pattern for your drivetrain at our Olathe shop.
Rotation evens out the different wear rates at each corner — front tires on a front-wheel-drive car do the steering, the driving and most of the braking, so left alone they'll be finished long before the rears. Balancing corrects the small weight differences that become a vibration you feel between 55 and 70 mph.
Time to come in if the steering wheel shakes at highway speed, you feel a vibration through the seat, the tread is visibly uneven across a tire, or it has simply been a while — most vehicles want this roughly every other oil change.
